Fuego Cantina is a family-owned Mexican restaurant with three locations in the Austin, Texas area. Despite excellent food and loyal regulars, they were struggling to attract new customers, especially the 25-40 age demographic. Their social media presence was sporadic (2-3 posts per month on Instagram with 800 followers), they had no email list, their Google Business profiles were incomplete with only 47 total reviews across all locations, and they were losing market share to trendier competitors with strong social media presences.
We designed and executed a comprehensive digital marketing strategy centered on social media content creation, community engagement, local SEO optimization, reputation management, and targeted digital advertising. The goal was to position Fuego Cantina as the go-to authentic Mexican dining experience in Austin, driving both awareness and measurable foot traffic.
Developed a complete brand content strategy including visual guidelines, tone of voice, content pillars (behind-the-kitchen stories, family heritage, seasonal specials, community events), and a posting calendar of 5 posts per week across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
Produced professional food photography and short-form video content on a monthly basis, including Reels and TikToks showcasing dish preparation, chef profiles, customer reactions, and the restaurant atmosphere.
Optimized all three Google Business Profile listings with complete information, professional photos, menu uploads, and implemented a systematic review generation program encouraging satisfied diners to leave Google reviews.
Built a custom Next.js website with online menu, reservation integration, and location pages optimized for local search -- replacing their outdated single-page site that lacked mobile responsiveness.
Built and launched an email marketing program using collected dine-in customer data: birthday offers, weekly specials announcements, event invitations, and a loyalty program driving repeat visits.
Ran geo-targeted Instagram and Facebook ad campaigns promoting seasonal menus, happy hour specials, and weekend brunch, targeting users within a 10-mile radius of each location with interest-based and behavioral targeting.
Partnered with 8 local Austin food micro-influencers (5K-25K followers) for authentic dining experiences and content creation, generating user-generated content and extending reach into new audiences.
Instagram following grew from 800 to 14,500 organically and through paid promotion over five months.
Monthly reservations increased 165%, from 340 to 901 across all three locations.
