The most powerful store locator plugin for WordPress. Seamlessly integrate with Google Places, import photos automatically, and provide your customers with an exceptional location-finding experience.
Every store-locator plugin on WordPress.org promises Google Maps integration. Almost none of them actually keep your locations in sync with Google's data — meaning your phone numbers, hours, photos, and ratings drift out of date the day after you import them.
We built Store Locator after running into that wall ourselves on a multi-location client site. Hand-entering each location was tedious; keeping a hundred of them up to date as the business changed was impossible. The answer was not a prettier marker; it was a sync engine. Connect Google Places once, pull the canonical data — including photos and Street View — and re-sync on demand. The map is just the surface; the value is the data underneath it stays correct.
It is also the only locator plugin we have shipped to production that scales cleanly past a hundred locations without dragging the admin to a crawl, because the bulk tools (slug regeneration, batch sync, photo refresh) are built for sites with real volume.

Store Locator is a WordPress plugin that lets you display business locations on an interactive map with search, filtering, and detail pages. It connects to Google Places to import and stay synced with each location's photos, hours, ratings, and contact info — so your locator stays accurate without manual upkeep.
Most locators give you a one-time CSV import and call it done. Store Locator treats Google Places as the source of truth: connect it once and you can re-sync any time, pulling fresh photos, hours, and Street View imagery. We also ship bulk admin tools (batch sync, slug regeneration) that matter once you have more than a handful of locations.
Yes — Google requires every site to use its own API key for map tiles and Places lookups. Setup is a one-time process; the plugin documentation walks you through generating the key and pasting it in.
The map is lazy-loaded so it only initialises when the user scrolls to it. The plugin assets are conditionally enqueued, meaning pages without a locator do not load the JavaScript. On a recent test site with 200 locations, the locator page loaded under 1.5 seconds on a mid-tier mobile device.
Yes. You can apply Google's standard styled-map JSON, swap marker icons per location category, and override the info-window template via PHP filter — or replace it entirely with your own Gutenberg block.
Yes. Locations can belong to one or many custom categories (e.g. service centre vs retail vs dealer), and the frontend supports filtering by category, search radius, and your own custom fields.
Each location can be linked to a Google Places ID. When you trigger a sync — manually or via a scheduled job — the plugin re-pulls the latest Place data: photos, hours, phone, website, rating, and Street View imagery. You can choose which fields the sync overwrites so you keep manual edits where you want them.
One-time license fee per site, with optional yearly renewal for updates and support. There is no per-location pricing and no recurring map-tile fee from us (Google's own Maps pricing applies separately).
The plugin renders via shortcode, Gutenberg block, and a REST endpoint, so it works inside any theme. Templates are overrideable from your theme, the same way WooCommerce does it.
Yes. The custom-field and category system is designed for exactly these use cases. You can model dealers, service centres, branches, or any other location type, and the frontend filter UI adapts automatically.
Updates ship via the WordPress admin, just like core and plugin updates from WordPress.org. Your license key authenticates the update channel.
The plugin keeps working — you do not get locked out. You just stop receiving updates and support until you renew. We do not believe in plugins that brick themselves.
