How to schedule social posts across multiple platforms

Plan, schedule, and publish content to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Pinterest from a single calendar.

Time: 30 minutesDifficulty: Beginner

Scheduling social posts across multiple platforms from one calendar is the single biggest time saver for any social marketing team. This guide walks through Webanto Social Media Management's calendar workflow, with platform-specific copy overrides and durable publishing.

Prerequisites

  • • Webanto Social Media Management on a paid plan
  • • Connected social accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest)

Steps

  1. 1
    Connect your social accounts

In Webanto > Social > Connections, click each platform to authenticate. Facebook and Instagram require a connected Meta Business account; TikTok requires a Business or Creator account; Pinterest needs a Business account.

  2. 2
    Open the content calendar

Go to Social > Calendar. You'll see a month view by default with empty slots for each day. Click any date to open the composer for that day.

  3. 3
    Compose a base post

Write your base caption in the composer. This is the version that publishes to all platforms unless overridden.

  4. 4
    Override the caption per platform

Click each platform icon in the composer to see its specific tab. Override the caption — LinkedIn allows longer-form posts, X is limited to 280 characters, Instagram benefits from emojis and line breaks. Each platform's tab respects its native limits.

  5. 5
    Add media

Upload images or videos. Each platform has different media requirements (aspect ratios, file sizes, supported formats). Webanto warns you if a media file fails a platform's requirements.

  6. 6
    Schedule the post

Set the publish time and click Schedule. The post moves to the calendar at the chosen time. You can edit or reschedule any time before publish.

  7. 7
    Monitor publishing

When the publish time arrives, the workflow engine publishes to each platform in parallel. If a platform fails (e.g. LinkedIn API rate limit), the others still publish; the failed step is visible in the calendar with the platform's error message.

  8. 8
Review per-platform analytics after 24 hours

Go to Social > Analytics. Compare impressions, engagement rate, and clicks across platforms for the same post. This shows which platforms work best for your content.
